We get a lot of feedback. And we do actually pay attention to it. Good and Bad.
For example
So what are we gonna do about this?
We say right in the description "PLA." We don't put a BS "+" or "Pro" around it. It is PLA. Plain and simple. And we have at this point many videos showing us "extruding" filament. Exactly the same as everyone else. PLA resin is made by Ingeo or Corbion. No other filament companies are "making" it either. There! That is our beligerent response to a customer that paid us money. Sorry about that.
As to "2018 quality." We will leave that up to you to judge. We are honest and try to set expectations as we ramp this. The prints from other users look pretty good. Though again we call it "Pretty good PLA." Not "The best in the world."
Our PLA prints reliably and is affordable. So sue us, we started selling it 6 months ago. And we have already lapped some manufacturers. Sorry we aren't perfect yet and cheap.
But pretty good is not good. Fortunately we are not riding on this. We have a few things up our sleeve (Or published publically on the homepage showing the roadmap that we have followed pretty perfectly.)
Now to compare. And we didn't even have a click farm send this to us. But it is also not public on Reddit so I don't know what to tell you. "Take it with a grain of salt" I suppose.
We will try to add in colors when we can. But lowering the cost is the main priority and variation increases cost. We'll see.
and I used your advise for glue joints
I printed the " its a light grey" filament on the Qidi Xmax 3 at 225 temp 60 bed
ment - AWESOME FILAMENT
I love your filament. It's strong and it prints wonderfully. I had some warping issues on large prints, but that seems to be normal with large prints (500mm length). It has gone away with a shroud. The black is so pretty and smooth. I haven't gotten such a great finish except with one other brand of filament. I have yet to catch other colors before they get sold out.
I bought 3 spools of clear / natural and 3 spools of black PLA in the second batch. They all arrived with the vacuum bags pierced, so I put them in a container with a bunch of desiccant. The black printed great. I didn't need to do any custom settings in my Bambu X1C. It printed very well with the default generic PLA profile. The clear was vastly different though. It was brittle and stringy, so I dried it for 6 hours. That didn't help at all, so I dried it for another 6 hours, then another 10, then another 12. Each time the clear was still brittle and very stringy. I made a custom profile to make it print…
I wasn't printing in 2018 but if I was, I'd be happy with this filament.
