So we got news!
So we have been making testing videos lately. Showing how filament and print setting affect part strength. But they have been a bit "informal."
There is not enough good data in the industry about how 3D Printed parts perform. We want to change that. So we are going to start building a testing lab.
Now here is there deal, we want to share the data, both on the youtube channel and on the blog so that everyone has access to our findings.
We're launching a Kickstarter campaign to test Filament. We are looking to acquire a formal tensile and compression testing machine. This equipment will allow us to conduct precise and standardized tests. We are looking to generate valuable data.
The Kickstarter will fund 20 videos based on the testing machines. For the cost of a spool of filament, you can contribute to this endeavor!
Our Kickstarter campaign will feature a series of stretch goals as well for additional filament testing.
We are looking to include UV testing, flammability testing, and impact testing. We want to build a 3D printing qualification lab, where not only materials are verified but they qualify in their printed state.
This initiative is very important for the advancement of the 3D printing industry. To be able to provide a reliable data set and engineering chart for any 3D printed materials.
We firmly believe that holding manufactureres accountible for their products is essential for the growth of 3D Printing.
